China: Implementing obligatory biometrics for applicants (CPH)

The China Visa Application Service Center in Copenhagen will implement obligatory biometrics for all applicants applying for a visa to China from September 2018. 

The official date for the implementations has not yet been announced, but we will of course send out more information as soon as it has been confirmed by the Chinese authorities.

China: Introducing new application form in Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki

From August 1st 2018 applicants in Denmark, Norway and Finland will have to fill out China’s new online application form. 

The old v2013 form will no longer be accepted at the embassies of the above mentioned countries. 

The application form for a visa to China is filled in online by using the following link:

Belarus: Visa free travel extended to 30 days

Belarus has extended their visa-free regime to 30 days for citizens of 74 countries (incl. Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway). 
Requirements for visa free entry:
-Must fly in and out from Minsk international airport
-Visa waiver does not apply to persons flying from/to Russia
-Valid passport
-Medical insurance in the amount of at least (10 000€, can be purchased on site) Assets equivalent to at least two base amounts for each day of stay (one base amount Br 24,5)

Russia: New rules regarding photo (CPH)

The Russian visa center in Copenhagen now requires Comet to submit a photo of applicants together with the application. 

Applicants will therefor need to send a photo in hard copy or a .jpeg file to Comet together with their application to Russia.

In order to ensure that the photo lives up to the requirements of the visa center, applicants are also obliged to send a copy of all previous visas to Russia that are placed in their current passport. 

Note! An additional charge will be added to the case if Comet is to print the photo.

Mongolia: New application form (STO)

The Embassy of Mongolia in Stockholm has introduced a new visa application form. 
It is available under «Documents». 

The Embassy no longer accepts the old application form.

Mongolia: New application form (OSL)

Mongolia’s Honorary Consulate General in Norway has introduced a new application form. It is now available under «Documents».

The consulate will accept the old application forms for a transitional period, but after September 1st  2018 they will only accept the new application form.

China: Implementing online application in Denmark and Norway

From August 1st 2018 applicants in Denmark and Norway will have to fill out China’s new online application form. 

The old v2013 form will no longer be accepted at the embassies of the two countries. 

The new online form can be found on www.visaforchina.org.

China: No urgent processing option available (GBG)

The Consulate of China in Gothenburg will no longer be offering an urgent processing option of 2 working days when applying for a visa to China.

The remaining services are:

  • Express handling of 3 days
  • Regular handling of 4 days

Eritrea: New application form (STO)

The Embassy of Eritrea in Stockholm have updated their visa application form. 

Applications including the old application form will be rejected by the embassy from today.
